UG Celebrates Staff Excellence: Professors Bawole, Ofori-Acquah and Others Honoured at End-of-Year Party

The highlight of this year’s end-of-year party for Senior Members, hosted by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, at her residence, was the reintroduction of the UG Staff Awards Ceremony. The event celebrated outstanding members of staff whose exceptional contributions to teaching, research, administration and service continue to advance the University’s mission.

In the Senior Member category, Professor Justice Nyigmah Bawole former Dean of the University of Ghana Business School received the Award for Excellence in Leadership, while Professor Solomon Fiifi Ofori-Acquah, Founding Director of West African Genetic Medicine Centre (WAGMC) was honoured with the Meritorious Service Award.

Ms. Regina Enyonam Adagbedu from Human Resource and Organisational Development Directorate (HRODD) received the Best Administrator Award, while Ms. Lawrencia Bertha Tsotsoo Ghansah, Esq., from the Legal Affairs Directorate was recognised with the Best Professional Staff Award.

In the Senior Staff category, Mr. Kwadwo Boateng Atta-Mensah from the College of Health Sciences was presented with the Best Worker Award, while Ms. Gladys Ababio from the Department of Geography and Resource Development was honoured with the Best Worker Award in the Junior Staff category.
