Prof. Daniel Ofori Frimpong Visits Various Centres at the College of Humanities

The Acting Pro-Vice-Chancellor and Provost of the College of Humanities, Prof. Daniel Frimpong Ofori has embarked on familiarisation visits to various Centres at the College.

Prof. Ofori first visited the Center for Migration Studies (CMS), where he was warmly received by Prof. Joseph Kofi Teye, Director, CMS. As part of the visit, Prof. Ofori held an interactive session with Prof. Teye and faculty members including Dr. Leander Kandilige, Dr. Mary Boatemaa Setrana and Dr. Appiah Kubi.

Prof. Frimpong also visited the Legon Center for International Affairs and Diplomacy (LECIAD) where he interacted with several faculty members, after which he toured various units of the Center including the American Corner, Library, Computer Lab, ECOWAS Documentation Room, PHD Offices and the Centre’s Auditorium. He was initially welcomed by the LECIAD Director, Prof. Emmanuel Debrah and Ms. Eccles Andoh, Senior Assistant Registrar and LECIAD Administrator, both of whom he held a working session with.

The Provost proceeded to other centres of the College where he held a joint working session with the Area Studies Directors. They are Dr. Joana Boampong, Centre for Latin American Studies; Dr. Kwame Asah Asante, Centre for European Studies; Dr. Llyod Amoah, Centre for Asian Studies; and Dr. Isaac Arthur, Centre for Urban Management Studies. After the session, the entourage proceeded to inspect the enclave of buildings housing the four Centres.
