NEWS RELEASE: UGSPACE RANKED NUMBER 1
The University of Ghana’s Institutional Repository (UGSpace) has been ranked Number 1 in Ghana in the February 2022 Transparent Ranking: Institutional Repositories by Google Scholar.
Out of 4,223 Institutional repositories, UGSpace was ranked 638 in the world: https://repositories.webometrics.info/en/institutional
The Institutional Repository ranking is managed by the same institutions that released the webometric rankings.
Recently, Webometrics ranked the University of Ghana as first in Ghana, 11th in Sub-Saharan Africa and 1,121 in the world out of 31,000 Higher Education Institutions from more than 200 countries, while the 2022 AD Scientific Index placed the University of Ghana as first in Ghana, 15th out of the 2,049 universities in Africa, and at 1,704 out of 14,284 universities surveyed globally.
In another development, the QS World University Rankings, in its 2022 ranking, classified the University of Ghana as one of the 20 best universities in Africa.
Once again, Ayekoo to all the Staff of the University of Ghana Library System (UGLS),Research Performance Team (ORID), Faculty, Staff, Students and Alumni of this University who contributed to the achievement of these remarkable feats!
