Alumnus Lei Liang Donates 6,000 Face Masks to the University

Mr. Lei Liang, an alumnus of the University of Ghana (2007-2012) has made a generous donation of 6,000 face masks to the University.

Lei Liang, who studied at the University of Ghana Business School, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Administration (Banking and Finance). He also studied for a year at the Language Centre (English Proficiency).

Liang who said he was moved to make the donation because of the experience he had gone through, described the pandemic as “beyond [the] imagination of ordinary people to fully understand”. He said his experience made him worried about problems it might cause in Ghana due to the shortage of PPEs. This he said spurred him on to buy some masks for UG staff. In the note accompanying the donation , alumnus Lei Liang indicated that even though this was not enough, and therefore not “expecting the masks to turn the tables”, he was hopeful it would help staff of the University in fighting the virus.

“I love UGBS and UG and I love Ghana and the people I met and got to know there. God bless Ghana. I wish to always see Ghana become better”, he concluded.

The University is grateful to alumnus Lei Liang for this generous gesture.
