2016 Annual Registrar's Seminar Opens

The Annual Registrar’s Seminar for Senior Administrative Staff for the 2015/16 academic year was last Tuesday, August 9, 2016 opened by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ebenezer Oduro Owusu at the Great Hall.

Over 157 participants from six (6) tertiary institutions attended the two-day seminar.  The theme for the seminar was “Redefining Organisational Culture: Change Management and Alignment with Global Standards and Best Practice.”  Legacy and Legacy, training consultants, facilitated the seminar.

In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor urged participants to use best practices that meet global standards to drive change in their institutions, urging participants to be honest, truthful, time conscious, and manage their units as good leaders.

Participants were treated to various topics on leadership roles, strategic thinking, team building, and change management. There were case studies which excited interesting discussions, and recommendations for different models of leadership.

In her closing remarks, the Registrar, Mrs. Mercy Haizel-Ashia, urged participants to put the knowledge acquired into practice, and promised that the next seminar would be organized by the end of this academic year.
