NOTICE:
MATRICULATION 2025/2026 ACADEMIC YEAR
(NEWLY-ADMITTED REGULAR STUDENTS)
The University Community and particularly, newly-admitted and enrolled regular students, are hereby informed that the Matriculation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 academic year will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Matriculation will be organised at the College level as follows:

| UGACC premises | Accra City Campus |
*(Freshmen should be seated 15 minutes before the start of each event.)
Dates for Distance Education, Kumasi City Campus, and Takoradi City Campus will be communicated in due course.
Per the Statutes of the University of Ghana:
- A student admitted to the University shall take the Matriculation Oath and sign the Matriculation Register.
- A student who fails to sign the Matriculation Register may be prevented from graduating by the University. (All students who have enrolled in the University of Ghana for the first time are expected to matriculate – postgraduate, undergraduate, diploma, etc.)
Students are to log into the Students/Staff Services (STS) Portal (link below) between Monday, January 26 and Friday, February 6, 2026, to sign the Matriculation Register:
Following this, students will take the Matriculation Oath during the Ceremony.
Prescribed attire: BLACK MATRICULATION GOWN OVER FORMAL DRESS.
Information on the collection of matriculation gowns will be issued soon. Gowns should be returned on the same day by 4:30pm to the same collection points. Failure to return as indicated shall invoke a penalty.
All newly-admitted regular students must kindly take note and comply accordingly.
