Dr. Paul Owusu Donkor Elected President of Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana

The University of Ghana celebrates the remarkable achievement of Dr. Paul Owusu Donkor, Senior Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, who has been elected President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Ghana (PSGH) following a keenly contested election held on Wednesday, 24th September 2025.

This historic victory positions the University of Ghana at the forefront of pharmacy leadership in Ghana, reinforcing its commitment to producing leaders who drive positive change across critical sectors of the economy.

Dr. Paul Owusu Donkor brings nearly two decades of distinguished service to both academia and the pharmaceutical profession. As a respected educator and researcher at the University of Ghana, he has mentored countless pharmacy students while simultaneously serving the PSGH in various capacities, including Editor-in-Chief and Strategic Planning Committee Chairman.

During his campaign, Dr. Owusu Donkor outlined an ambitious agenda focusing on professional empowerment, strategic advocacy and effective regulation. His platform emphasises job creation for Pharmacists, enhanced collaboration with regulatory bodies and increased visibility for the profession in national healthcare discourse.
