Legon Club Donates 50 Bags of Rice to Dean’s Food Bank to Support Needy Students

As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, Legon Club has donated 50 bags of 25kg rice to the Dean’s Food Bank, an initiative under the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs.

Chairperson of the Club, Prof. Priscilla Twumasi Baffour, highlighted that the donation is a result of the Club’s long-standing culture of welfare and social responsibility. She noted that while members receive annual welfare packages, the Club also budgets to support vulnerable groups and has, in recent years, chosen to focus on students within the University community.

The Dean of Student Affairs, Prof. Rosina Kyerematen, described the gesture as timely and impactful, stressing that it will assist many students who  struggle daily to meet basic needs. She assured stakeholders that the rice will be equitably distributed, ensuring that it reaches only students who are truly in need.
