GRASAG AT YOUR DOORSTEP: AKUAFO HALL
The third edition of GRASAG AT YOUR DOORSTEP took place at the vibrant Akuafo Hall of the University of Ghana. The event was a perfect blend of productive activities and enjoyable moments, aiming to create an environment where students could feel comfortable expressing their concerns and connecting with fellow peers.
Clean Up Session: A Commitment to Environmental Responsibility
The event kicked off with a clean-up session within the premises of Akuafo Hall. Graduate students, along with GRASAG executives, enthusiastically participated in picking up litter, sweeping the surroundings, and beautifying the area. This activity not only demonstrated GRASAG-UG's dedication to environmental responsibility but also provided an opportunity for students to collaborate and engage in meaningful conversations.
Kenkey Party: Building Connections through Fun
After the cleanup session, graduate students were treated to a delightful kenkey party. Kenkey, a popular Ghanaian dish made from fermented maize dough, provided a delectable culinary experience for everyone. As students relished their meals, they engaged in lively discussions, sharing their academic experiences, challenges, and aspirations. The event created a relaxed atmosphere, fostering a sense of camaraderie and promoting a stronger community among graduate students.
Channeling Grievances: A Platform for Open Dialogue
One of the primary objectives of GRASAG AT YOUR DOORSTEP is to provide a platform for students to voice their concerns and grievances directly to the GRASAG executives. Throughout the event, participants had the opportunity to engage in open dialogues with the association's representatives, allowing for meaningful discussions and potential resolutions to pressing issues. This direct interaction proved to be invaluable, as it strengthened the bond between GRASAG-UG and the students they serve.
