Brief Bio of Presenter
Prof. Annor is an Associate Professor of Social Psychology. He is an engaged faculty in the business of the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy at the University of Cape Coast. He holds MPhil and PhD degrees in Social and Developmental Psychology from the University of Cambridge, where he was awarded the Commonwealth Cambridge Shared Scholarship the Smut Cambridge International Scholarship, and the Benefactor’s Scholarship. He is also an alumnus of the University of Ghana, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was adjudged “Best Graduating Student in Psychology” for the 2006 cohort. He started his academic career as a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Ghana, where he worked for six years and rose to the rank of Senior Lecturer. He taught about 15 courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervised about 20 graduate students and close to 100 undergraduate students. He moved to the University of Cape Coast in November 2021 as a Senior Research Fellow. He has published several research articles in reputable journals in the areas of the work-family interface, employee well-being, interpersonal relationships and violence, and vulnerable populations. He has consulted for both local and international organisations including CAMFED, the UNFPA, the Ghana Immigration Service, and the Volta River Authority. He envisages forging more collaborations with scholars and researchers in psychology and related disciplines both locally and internationally.
