Following the institutionalisation of Wear UG Day, this year’s celebration falls on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The Planning Committee has outlined a series of exciting programmes to engage all stakeholders of the University.

The theme for this year’s Wear UG Day Programme is 'Wear UG, Wear Ghana: Sustainable Youth Entrepreneurship in Fashion’.

Schedule of Events

Pre-Event

In the lead up to the main events, there will be a health walk, aerobics session, games, other fun activities and health screening for members of the University community.

Panel Discussion

As part of this year’s highly anticipated event, a panel discussion is being organised with experts and stakeholders in the youth entrepreneurship and fashion space, sharing invaluable insights and experiences on the theme.

Fashion Design Competition

To climax the day’s events, a fashion design competition is being organised to recognise and reward the creativity and innovation of student fashion designers. Designers will use the UG@75 fabric to create beautiful and extraordinary designs for a spectacular show.
