PhD Candidate Alice Nubuor Accepted into WB–AAAWE Mentorship Programme
The Department of Economics warmly congratulates Alice Nubuor, a PhD candidate in the Department, on her acceptance into the World Bank–AAAWE Mentorship Programme.
The programme is implemented by the Association for the Advancement of African Women Economists (AAAWE) in partnership with the World Bank’s Think Africa Partnership (TAP). It is a competitive virtual mentorship programme designed to support African women economists through structured mentorship, research guidance, professional development, and networking opportunities.
Through the programme, Alice will benefit from mentorship by experienced economists and researchers, while joining a wider network of African women economists committed to advancing research, policy engagement, and leadership in the economics profession. The initiative also seeks to strengthen the visibility and career progression of African women pursuing economics-related careers.
Alice’s selection is an important achievement and reflects her promise as an emerging scholar. It also demonstrates the growing visibility of graduate students in the Department of Economics and the Department’s commitment to supporting research excellence, mentorship, and international professional engagement.
We warmly congratulate Alice on this accomplishment and wish her continued success in the programme.
