Career Day 2026, organized by the Careers and Counselling Directorate of the University of Ghana, was a very successful and impactful program held on 2nd July 2026 at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana, Legon Campus. The event was themed “Networking Smart, Leveraging AI.”
The program attracted a large number of students from different departments and levels, making the event lively and engaging. Students had the opportunity to interact with representatives and recruitment teams from several reputable companies and organizations. This gave participants the chance to network, learn about career opportunities, internships, and gain insight into the expectations of employers in today’s job market.
One of the major highlights of the event was the panel discussion, where experienced professionals shared valuable knowledge and advice relating to the theme. Students learned about the importance of networking, personal branding, and how Artificial Intelligence is shaping the future of work and career development. The discussion was interactive and inspiring, allowing students to ask questions and gain practical career guidance.
In addition, the career fair and counselling sessions provided students with career support and direction. Many participants expressed appreciation for the opportunity to connect with industry professionals and broaden their understanding of the job market.
Overall, Career Day 2026 was a great success and achieved its objective of preparing students for the world of work while encouraging them to leverage technology and build meaningful professional connections.
