DCODED SHOW 2025
In collaboration with Johnson & Johnson, the Careers and Counselling Directorate of the University of Ghana held its flagship programme, the DCODED Show, on Wednesday, 16th July 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana Main Campus.
This year’s edition, under the Resilient Minds Project, focused on the theme: “Fixing the Pieces: When the Mind Splits”, with a particular emphasis on Schizophrenia. The programme featured a compelling panel discussion moderated by Rev. Fr. Anthony Afriyie Amponsah of the Careers and Counselling Directorate.
The esteemed panelists included: Ms. Boakyewaa Glover (Author & Mental Health Advocate), Dr. Josephine Stiles Darko (Deputy Head of Communications, Mental Health Authority), Dr. Mrs. Gladys Setordzie (Clinical Psychologist), Dr. Moses Nuwor (Psychiatrist), .

Moderator and Panelists
The event drew an audience of over 800 students and staff, with strong support from the University of Ghana Hospital and other faculty members. Discussions centered on raising awareness, early detection, and support mechanisms for mental health challenges, particularly Schizophrenia. The session was engaging, insightful, and deeply impactful.
A key highlight of the event was the formalization of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Directorate and Johnson & Johnson, marking a significant step toward sustained collaboration in mental health advocacy and career development initiatives.
In summary, the DCODED Show 2025 was a resounding success—encouraging meaningful conversations, providing valuable resources, and reinforcing the importance of mental health awareness on campus. The enthusiastic participation of students, expert insights from panelists, and corporate partnership contributed to a rich and transformative experience.
