Overview
This 12-month MSc Biochemistry programme seeks to equip graduate students with the advanced knowledge and skills in biochemistry required to address national needs. The programme will also provide professional development opportunities for scientists in the biosciences and related fields. In addition, it is designed to provide individuals working in industry with opportunities to acquire advanced knowledge and specialised training in various areas of biochemistry and to obtain a higher degree without the requirement to undertake a year-long research project. The programme aims to train biochemists, cell biologists, and molecular biologists who can contribute effectively to research institutes, industries, quality assurance and clinical laboratories, academia, and government ministries, departments, and agencies. The programme is expected to foster collaboration with relevant organisations, particularly bioscience-based industries and research institutes, and to provide consultancy and advisory services in areas of expertise.
