Credits:
3

This course is intended to introduce students to the importance of irrigation and elements of irrigation systems. It will enable students have full grasp of basic soil-water relationships and soil water measurement. Additionally the course will deal with agricultural weather stations and irrigation water requirement estimation methods. It will arm students with the ability to apply physically-based and empirical ET equations. Students will be able to determine ET from satellite images, crop coefficients and irrigation efficiencies.
