AREN 612: Agricultural Machinery Design

The main focus of this course is the design of agricultural machinery. As such the students will be taught how to design machine elements as well as designing for fatigue and impact loading; design of selected power transmission elements (chain, belt, gears, etc.); linkages on farm machinery etc. The course will conclude by discussing the cost benefit analysis of engineering designs.
