Registration Guidelines for 1st Semester Courses - Undergraduate Continuing Students

These guidelines are for Continuing Students (Regular and Distance education) needing to write Supplementary Re-sit Examinations for 1st Semester Courses only.   

 

1.     The Supplementary Re-sit Examinations for Regular Students is scheduled for Saturday, 18th July to Saturday, 1st August 2020.

 

2.     Distance Education Students will take their Supplementary Re-sit Examinations from Friday 31st July to Sunday, 2nd August 2020.
 

3.     Refer to the schedule of fees at the end of this brief to determine exactly how much to pay.
 

4.     Continuing Students are to pay the relevant fees and register online using the normal “REGISTER/PAY FOR RE-SIT” link in the STS portal. Detailed instructions to do this can be found here:

·     Please note:

  • Re-sit registration is for FIRST SEMESTER COURSES ONLY.
  • Students may register up to a maximum of 18 credit hours.
  • Re-sit registration is for failed courses (Grade E or F) only.
  • Deadline for the re-sit registration is Tuesday, June 30, 2020.

5.     The compiled list of registered students with their courses will be sent to the respective Departments to enable Examiners set examination questions. 

 

6.     The examinations are scheduled as follows:

·      Regular Students:                             Saturday, July 18 – Saturday, August 1, 2020.

·      Distance Education Students:          Friday, July 31 – Sunday, August 2, 2020.

 

An Examination Timetable will be drawn by the Teaching and Examinations Unit in collaboration with the Colleges.

 

Given the prevailing conditions, all Supplementary re-sit examinations will be conducted through the SAKAI LMS, other online resources and emails.

 

7.     Students should report any clashes in the Timetable to their respective College Academic Offices as follows:
