Dr. Ousmane Niang is a member of IFG 10 where he is interested in the role of grassroots actors in the management of water for urban agriculture. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Gaston Berger University in Senegal. Dr. Niang is a lecturer and researcher in community development at School of Applied Economics of UCAD. His work focuses on various themes such as gender and child protection, access to basic social services, human security, innovations and development planning. Grassroots development planning is at the heart of his professional practices as a teacher in an applied social science research department. It applies globally to local authorities, which benefit each year from our expertise in the co-production of development plans with a transversal, multisectoral and systemic approach. Thus, our interest concerns both development strategies in key sectors such as education, health, culture, sport and youth through cross-cutting dimensions such as climate change, gender and migration.

• Research on the organization's ecofeminist approaches with the goal of gaining a better understanding of how women are working together to ensure food security and care for the environment in Dakar and its surroundings.
