Members of the University community are hereby invited to the first Anton Wilhelm Amo Lecture of the Merian Institute for Advanced Studies in Africa (MIASA) at the University of Ghana (UG).
The lecture will be held on December 7, 2021, at 4:00pm the Great Hall (and online via zoom).
It honours the 18th-century philosopher Anton Wilhelm Amo who was born nearby Axim (today Ghana) and who became the first university teacher of African descent in present-day Germany.
