The 21st "Chinese Bridge" Competition award Ceremony was held by Confucius Institute at the University of Ghana

On June 15th local time, contestants from Confucius Institute of the University of Ghana came to the auditorium in advance to attend the award ceremony of the 21st "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for World College Students. The Chinese and Foreign deans of Confucius Institute of the University of Ghana and all the teachers and students attended the special award ceremony without audience. Some prizes will be collected by the competitors.

Before the award ceremony, Professor Chu Beijuan, Chinese Dean of the University of Ghana, delivered an opening speech. She began by congratulating the contestants. She said the quality of this year's competition was ensured by the quality of the competitors' preparation, although the competition was still held online. The whole activity from preparation to holding, lasted a long time, the number of people. The smooth holding of the event was the result of concerted efforts of all parties. Thanks to the guidance of the Chinese Embassy in Ghana, the support from all walks of life in Canada, the cooperation of all the participating units, especially the hard work of the tutors and the contestants, the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Language Competition in Ghana was a complete success. The end of the competition means the beginning of a new journey, she encouraged the students to continue to work hard to achieve better results.

Professor Zhou Sifen, the foreign dean, was proud of the contestants' achievements. She said that under the circumstances of the epidemic, everything is uncertain, which makes it more necessary for everyone to keep learning motivation, and Confucius Institute will provide the best possible support to students studying Chinese.

The grand prize winner Li Jie is full of emotion. His father is a Lover of Chinese culture. It is under the guidance of his father's words and deeds that Li Jie applied for the examination of the Profound Chinese department of the University of Ghana. Here, he learned not only the language knowledge, but also his understanding of Chinese culture.

Huang Yiran said that she had more contact with Chinese teachers during the learning process, and her teacher's tireless teaching and attitude gave her endless courage, which was the motivation for her to keep learning Chinese.
