The inaugural meeting of the Confucius Institute Student Association at the University of Ghana was held
On September 27, the inaugural meeting of the First Confucius Institute at the UG Student Association was held in the Confucius Institute Auditorium. About 80 people ,including Chinese and Ghanaian directors of CIUG, representatives of CI teachers and students, and all members of the Student Association attended to witness the official establishment of the first Student Association of Confucius Institute.
The recruitment work of the Student Association officially started at the end of August. After self-registration, talent show, voting and other procedure, 20 students were successfully elected to the Student Association . The Chinese and Ghanaian directors of CIUG presented the appointment letter to the president of the Student Association and congratulated on the establishment of the Student Association. We hope that the Student Association will give full play to the advantages of Chinese language and contribute to the friendship between China and Canada.

After the selection, Confucius Institute organized an online inauguration ceremony. The online activity was presided over by Mr. Zhao Gangqiang. The president and vice president of the Student Association respectively delivered inaugural speeches and made detailed statements about the management and work plan of the Student Association . In the next step, the Student Association will organize various Chinese activities such as "Chinese Corner", "HSK Study Group" and "Cultural Activity Group", so as to enrich the cultural life of Confucius Institute and strengthen the cohesion and sense of belonging of Confucius Institute students.

The recruitment activity of Confucius Institute Student Association provides students with a platform to show themselves and also creates opportunities for students to exercise themselves. It is a new beginning, a new challenge and the best stage for the first members of the Student Association . It is believed that the Student Association of Confucius Institute will give full play to the positive role of the student body, better serve the teachers and students of Confucius Institute, and help the smooth development of the work of Confucius Institute.
The first Student Association of the CIUG was founded on the basis of the Volunteer Association of Confucius Institute at the University of Ghana.
