The Confucius Institute at the University of Ghana holds the awards ceremony of the 19th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Contest

On the morning of April 17th, even though it was Saturday, the Confucius Institute at the University of Ghana opened its doors to welcome a group of special students-from the CIUG in the 19th "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreign College Students in Ghana. Today  CI held a special award ceremony for them. The Chinese Dean Professor Chu Beijuan 、the foreign Dean Prof. Quarshie and all the teachers participated in the event.

Before the award ceremony, the teachers interviewed the contestants about their experience of participating in the "Chinese Bridge" competition and their feelings of learning Chinese. When it comes to this topic, everyone seems to have opened up the conversation. 艾南, who won the special prize in the Ghana Region Competition, felt that the "Chinese Bridge" competition not only allowed him to learn a lot of new knowledge, but also made him realize that he has to continue to work hard. The players from other countries I met in the competition are also very good, which is both pressure and motivation; 尤杰, who won the third prize, believes that learning Chinese has given him many opportunities to study in China, and now he is working in a Chinese-funded enterprise. The "Chinese Bridge" competition has strengthened his self-confidence and made him full of confidence, who had never participated in the competition before...

At the award ceremony, the foreign dean congratulated the contestants and thanked all the contestants for their hard work. Among them, the special prize contestant 艾南 won the honor of “Top 15 in the world” in the global finals and won the Chinese language training educational scholarship in China throughout the year. The Chinese dean believes that despite the global epidemic disrupting people’s lives, the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese competition is still in full swing; she encourages contestants to continue to learn Chinese, improve their academic level, and become excellent Chinese teachers in the future, in order to train more people. Chinese majors work hard. Afterwards, the Chinese and foreign deans presented awards to the participants of the Confucius Institute at the University of Ghana and took a group photo.

In this special period , the contestants still insist on learning Chinese and leave their shadows in the global Chinese language competition "Chinese Bridge". Congratulations once again to all the winners! ! !
