The College of Humanities of the University of Ghana is pleased to announce the Call for Papers for its first Annual Research Conference on the theme: Multidisciplinary Research and Transformation in Africa. The event will provide a global platform for practitioners, academics, policy makers, researchers and students to share their work and experiences through the presentation of high-quality research on topics relating to the transformation of the African sub-region and neighboring regions. Africa is a continent endowed with immense natural and human resources, in addition to cultural, historical, ecological and economic diversity; yet it remains underdeveloped. This is a critical puzzle that academics and other researchers have continually interrogated. The objective of the conference is therefore to provide a platform for intellectual engagement and discussions on issues relating to Africa’s development. It is anticipated that the conference will yield insightful recommendations for overcoming the challenges faced by the continent, and provide novel approaches to promote economic growth and social transformation. It will draw on multidisciplinary research to inform policy making on the continent.
