BEWARE OF ACCOMMODATION SCAM
The University has received information that some unscrupulous persons are asking non-resident students to apply for accommodation in traditional halls of residence through a particular e-mail address and to make payment through a mobile money number (0533353233).
Please note that this is a scam. Allocation of rooms was done through the Random Bed Allocation and that process has ended.
Students who were not able to secure accommodation through the allocation system may contact the private hostels on and around the UG campus for information on available accommodation.
The public and members of the University community are, therefore, cautioned to be wary of such scams and verify any information received from appropriate UG official channels.
