2025 Flower Community Fair – University of Ghana
The Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Studies (C3SS), in collaboration with The Flower Community GH, invites all members of the University community to the 2025 Flower Community Fair, themed:
“Green Living Simplified: Transform Your Space into a Garden”
Date: Friday, 5th – Sunday, 7th December 2025
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. daily
Venue: Academic Freedom Road, University of Ghana, Legon
This year’s Fair offers an exciting blend of sustainability, creativity, and community engagement. It provides practical ways for students, staff, and households to contribute to climate action through small-space gardening, waste reduction, and greener lifestyle choices.
Fair Highlights
- GrowHER Workshop: Celebrating women leading climate-smart home gardening
- Youth Climate Debate: Hosted by the University of Ghana Debaters Club
- From Kitchen to Garden Demonstrations: Turning household waste into garden resources
- Eco-Marketplace: Showcasing plants, gardening tools, organic inputs, and eco-friendly products
- Virtual Reality Nature Dome: An immersive VR experience of Ghana’s nature and green spaces
- Expert Talks & Panels: Insights on climate adaptation, food safety, and sustainable urban living
Students and staff will have the opportunity to learn, connect, shop, and experience innovative ideas that make green living easy and accessible.
