This research project, funded by the College of Education, investigates how cultural attitudes, beliefs, and practices influence physical activity among adults in urban Ghana. The study employs a mixed-methods design. Study 1 involves a cross-sectional survey of 1,000 adults to assess physical activity levels, socio-economic status, and socio-cultural variables. Study 2 includes focus group discussions and individual interviews to explore attitudes toward physical activity across age, gender, and geographic categories
