WORKSHOPS ON DEVELOPING STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOPs)
It has been observed that the majority of Units in the University do not have clear-cut documented directions and instructions for carrying out routine operations and processes. This makes it particularly difficult to measure performance and compliance with set targets.
A committee was set up to draw up guidelines for all units to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) associated with their key functions and operations within the University.
The Committee is holding a series of workshops between 10th and 20th May 2022, to equip participants with the needed skills to draw up SOPs and also for the initial set of participants to train others in establishing SOPs in the University.
All heads of Unit are urged to actively participate in the workshops as per the schedule, and it is expected that after the workshops, the use of SOPs will be adopted for all key functions and processes across the University.
