A Linguistics Major student must take at least 24 credits by the end of the year. This should be made up of TWO core courses and any TWO electives offered in each semester.
A Combined Major student in Linguistics student must take at least 15 credits by the end of the year. This should be made up of TWO core courses and any ONE elective offered in each semester.
A student with a Minor in Linguistics must take at least 6 credits by the end of the year. This should be made up of ONE core course per semester (LNGS 301 and LNGS 302). Such a student cannot purse Linguistics at Level 400

LEVEL 400
A Linguistics Major student must take at least 30 credits by the end of the year. This should be made up of TWO core courses in the first and second semester plus any THREE electives in each semester. A student who offers to write a LONG ESSAY (6 CREDITS) may take the TWO core courses and at least ONE elective in the second semester in addition to the Long Essay.
A Combined Linguistics student must take at least 15 credits by the end of the year. This should be made up of TWO cores plus ONE elective in the first semester and TWO cores in the second semester.
