The Deputy Transport Minister and Member of Parliament for the Gushegu Constituency, Hon. Alhassan Sulemana Tampuli, Esq., has donated twenty copies of the National Transport Policy and ten copies of the National Electric Vehicle Policy to support the Department’s teaching and learning, especially on the current policy and regulatory framework guiding the transport space in Ghana. In his brief remarks before the presentation, Hon. Tampuli expressed the Ministry’s profound joy at making this special donation to the Department and hoped that students and the University community at large would benefit from the donated materials.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the Department, Dr. Agyemang and Dr. Amankwaa, who represented the Head of the Department, Professor Charlotte Wrigley-Asante, were full of praises to the Deputy Minister for the kind gesture. They further assured the Deputy Minister that the books would be well taken care of and used for the intended purpose.
Earlier, the Deputy Minister delivered a Guest Lecture on the theme “Decarbonizing Transportation: Ghana’s Experience” to final-year Transport Geography students, faculty, and other invited guests. The well-prized lecture was ably chaired by Professor Joseph Awetori Yaro, the Principal of the Accra City Campus of the University of Ghana.
