Official Visit of Cornell University to UG

A delegation from Cornell University will be visiting the University of Ghana to explore partnerships with various units in the University.

Panel 1: Public Health and Policy (2:00-3:30 pm)

Venue: ISSER Conference Room

This panel will present diverse approaches to public health envisioned broadly—from zoonotic disease and emerging pandemics to mental health to

new technologies for distributed diagnostics and the application of AI, facial recognition, smart technologies for improved wellbeing at multiple scales and in different contexts.

Panel 2: Transdisciplinary Approaches: Climate change and adaptation (4:00pm - 5:30 pm)

Climate change and adaptation is an issue we have to address if our planet is to remain habitable and one that requires collaboration. Many disciplines and sectors will need to be part of a climate change solution, although one of the core areas of strength for the University of Ghana/Cornell collaboration will be agriculture. This panel will present diverse approaches to addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation.
