About

Dr. Mona Sunish is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Plant and Environmental Biology at the University of Ghana. She holds a Ph.D. in Botany with a specialization in Plant Ecology from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, India. 
She delivers undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of Ghana, including Plant Ecology, Plant Physiology, Plant Biotechnology, and Biodiversity Conservation & Utilization. She previously served as the Examination Officer for six years and currently holds the position of Examination Officer at the School of Biological Sciences. 
Dr. Sunish's research focuses on Plant Ecology, with a particular emphasis on Biomass and Carbon Sequestration. She has supervised numerous undergraduate research projects, contributed extensively to peer-reviewed journals, and presented her findings at national and international conferences. She is deeply committed to fostering academic growth and actively seeks opportunities for collaboration to enhance student learning and development within the Department of Plant and Environmental Biology.
Committed to integrating technology into education, she serves as an E-Learning Ambassador within her department. Additionally, she plays a significant role in the university community as a member of the Academic Board, the Graduate Committee, and the Teaching Assessment Committee, among others.
