This course is aimed at enabling students to attain an understanding of the fundamental principles of the dynamics of particles and rigid bodies. Students will be able to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems under dynamic conditions. The course includes the use of computational software to solve numerical problems. Description: Motions of particles and rigid bodies, and the forces that accompany or cause those motions. It will involve Newton's laws, the work and energy principle, and the impulse and momentum principle. Impulse and Momentum. Kinematics of Rigid Bodies. Introduction to Vibration.
