CFAS Bids Farewell to 2021/2022 National Service Personnel

The Centre for Ageing Studies (CFAS) organised a send-off lunch for the 2021/2022 batch of National Service who undertook and completed their service at the Centre. This event took place at the Chez Afrique Restaurant, Accra, on August 31, 2022. The individuals for whom this event was organized were Ms. Saeed Fridaus, Ms. Ganimatu Mohammed, Ms. Princess Anarfi, and Mr. Kingsley Afordofe. Also in attendance was the Director of the Centre, Prof Mavis Dako-Gyeke, as well as staff and affiliates of the Centre, including Dr. Delali A. Dovie, Dr Vyda M. Hervie, Mrs. Racheal Mantey, Mrs. Ruth Okang, and Mr. Kwamina Abekah-Carter. Three personnel from the College of Humanities as well, were present to grace the event. The main activities for the day encompassed dining, merry making, and socializing with the outgoing service personnel before they parted ways with the Centre.

 

Outgone National Service Personnel

Prof. Dako-Gyeke commended the service personnel for the immense contributions they made towards the progress of the Centre during their tenure. She further encouraged them that as they enter into the world of work, they should endeavor to exhibit fortitude, hard work and humility anywhere they found themselves. All present respectively shared their well wishes with the service personnel. There was presentation of farewell gifts to the outgoing service personnel. In turn, the service personnel expressed their gratitude to the Centre for assisting them to develop essential skills and competencies for the world of work. They were also grateful for the gifts given them.

 

 

National Service Persons Receiving their Farewell Gifts
