Prof. Asimeng is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Ghana.. His research focuses on developing biomaterials for environmental and biomedical applications, particularly in water treatment and bone regeneration. Prof. Asimeng specializes in the synthesis and characterization of hydroxyapatite, chitosan composites, and halloysite nanotubes for controlled drug delivery and cancer treatments. His interdisciplinary work spans materials science, chemistry, and biomedical engineering, with an emphasis on translating lab-based discoveries into real-world solutions, especially for developing regions. Prof. Asimeng's contributions to the field are documented in several high-impact journals, and he collaborates with researchers worldwide to address global health and environmental challenges.
