On August 28, 2024, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Ghana held its second annual Biomedical Engineering Research Day. The event, themed "Repositioning Biomedical Engineering For Future Medical Innovations," brought together leading experts, researchers, and students to discuss the latest advancements in biomedical engineering.
Keynote speakers included Prof. Anita Ghansah from the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research and Prof. Danielle Benoit from the University of Oregon. They delivered insightful talks on topics such "Innovating through Therapeutic Biomaterials" and "Genomics as a Key to Malaria Research Innovation: The Past, Present and Future".
