On August 28, 2024, the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Ghana held its second annual Biomedical Engineering Research Day. The event, themed "Repositioning Biomedical Engineering For Future Medical Innovations," brought together leading experts, researchers, and students to discuss the latest advancements in biomedical engineering.
Prof. Renã A.S. Robinson, Dorothy J. Wingfield Phillips Chair, Department of Chemistry, Vanderbilt University, Nashville Tennessee, USA was hosted by the Department of Biomedical Engineering for a seminar. She shared on the topic "High-throughput Proteomics to Advance Equity in Alzheimer's Disease Research".
The Dept. of Biomedical Engineering hosted Dr. Charles Kwamena Ackon, CEO of Mangel Klicks. He shared insights on founding Mangel Klicks, challenges in Ghana's biomedical field, and solutions his company is implementing.
