The Sports Directorate has opened the University of Ghana Sport Fund (UG-SF) scholarship application for the 2023/2024 academic year.
About the University of Ghana Sport Fund
The (UG-SF) is an initiative to motivate, support and facilitate admitted student athletes and to attract potential talents to enhance their admission to the University of Ghana. The UG-SF is a form of support scheme that the University of Ghana Sport Directorate (UGSD) makes available to exceptional and less privileged student athletes when the required resources are available.
The scholarship is awarded on an annual basis and is available to undergraduate students ONLY, both fresh and continuing students.
Eligibility Criteria
1. Must be an admitted student athlete of University of Ghana with enormous sports talent
2. Demonstrate financial need
How to Apply
Download the application form attached to this mail and fill all portions applicable to you. Attach all supporting documents to the application form and submit to the Sports Directorate by mail or hand delivered.

Or submitted electronically through sports@ug.edu.gh with the subject University of Ghana Sport Fund Scholarship Application 2023/2024 Academic Year.
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted for interview. Successful student athletes will be notified by the Sports Directorate.
Required Supporting Documents
1. Certificates awarded to you in previous sports competitions
2. Academic records
3. Any other supporting document(s) that you believe will assist in the processing of your application.
Submission Deadline
Applications will be opened from 12th June, 2023. All applications should be submitted to the Sports Directorate on or before 30th June, 2023 at 11:59 pm. Late submission of applications will not be considered.
