NOTICE TO THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY ON COVID-19 PREVENTIVE MEASURES
Reference is made to the update on measures taken against the spread of Coronavirus delivered by the President of the Republic on 27th March, 2022.
In the said update, the President, while announcing revisions to Covid-19 restrictions in the country, including the lifting of the mandatory wearing of nose masks, called for the continued maintenance of enhanced hand hygiene practices, and for the avoidance of overcrowded gatherings. The President further noted that in-person activities may resume at full capacity, as long as the audience and/or participants are fully vaccinated.
Management of the University has discussed these revisions to the Covid-19 protocols and notes the difficulty in ensuring social distance in classrooms, halls of residence, offices and other enclosed spaces, as well as checking the vaccination status of members of the University community and visitors to the University’s campuses.
Management therefore, mindful of the fact that Covid-19 is still present, and in order to prevent its spread on the University’s campuses, strongly encourages staff and students to continue observing Covid-19 protocols, including the following:
Management also urges members of the University community who are not fully vaccinated, to take steps to get vaccinated, at the University Hospital or any other healthcare facility offering vaccinations.
Yours sincerely,
Emelia Agyei-Mensah (Mrs.)
