General Amnesty For Undergraduate Students Yet To Graduate

Starting January 16, 2023 - Ending January 16, 2024 Expired

The Public is hereby informed that Undergraduate Applications for the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year is open for the final year of the three-year general amnesty programme. This opportunity is granted to final year students whose studentships have elapsed to re-sit outstanding/failed courses and graduate. This programme covers the 2021/2022, 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic years only.

 

Eligibility
Applicants should be University of Ghana undergraduate final year students who should have graduated from 2000/2001 to 2018/2019 but have not due to elapsed studentship.

 

Please find below the application process for Prospective General Amnesty:

1.           Registration of Courses

Applicants are required to register their outstanding/failed courses using the students’ portal (STS). The link to the registration portal is https://sts.ug.edu.gh/services/login. University of Ghana Student ID Number and MIS Web PIN will be required.

Applicants are to visit relevant Departments with proof of registration for information on arrangements regarding registered courses prior to the start of the semester. Departmental Heads or Examination Officers will help with replacements for phased-out courses.

 

2.              Deadline for Amnesty Course Registration

The deadline for course registration for the first semester of the 2023/2024 academic year is: Friday October 27, 2023.

 

3.              Online Orientation Session

Participants should visit their colleges after the course registration to pick up provisional ID cards at no cost.

7.              Expectations

a.              Participants are required to fully participate in lectures for registered course(s) to be allowed to undertake examination(s).

b.              Participants are to abide by the University of Ghana Regulations for Junior Members 2017.

 

PLEASE NOTE:
1.  You will note be allowed to write examination if you do not contact your department for course outline, lectures, and interim assessment.

2.  You are not allowed to register for supplementary re-sit examinations.
