UNION CLUB SUPPORTS UG SPORTS

The University of Ghana Sports Directorate has received financial support of Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢2,000.00) from Union Club.

This money was towards the organization of  2020 GUSA  Games.

The Union Club is a group of individuals consisting mainly of alumni of UG. They use a football pitch on campus for their basic keep fit and club activities. They also use the opportunity for networking for their members in the light of staying healthy.

Over the years, there has been corporation between the Union Club and Sports Directorate to the extent that for the past 6 years they have sponsored 3 student athletes a year.

The Director of Sports of the University of Ghana, Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu on behalf of the Sports Directorate expressed his appreciation to the Union Club and further admonished the Club and other associations on campus to support sports development on  campus by partnering with the Sports Directorate in future endeavours.
