DIET 200 : CLINICAL ATTACHMENT I

This is a 4-week, whole day, inter-semester clinical training period at the end of semester 4 (i.e. during the long vacation). Students will undertake introductory clinical training involving directed observation and clinical experience to allow them to obtain practical hands-on experience. The attachment will be undertaken in Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, Ridge Hospital, 37 Military Hospital, Princess Marie Loiuse Hospital and Tema General Hospital. It will be extended to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Efia Nkwanta Hospital, Ho Regional Hospital, Cape Coast Regional Hospital and Koforidua Regional Hospital as and when students’ numbers increases.
Students shall be evaluated at the end of the vocational training. The course is a pre-requisite for level 300 courses in Dietetics.
Students will complete a logbook and will be assessed at the end of the course using the logbook and an oral examination.
