CHIN 417 Classical Chinese I

Classical Chinese is the language of the bulk of the Chinese textual tradition from early historical and philosophical writing down to the early 20^th century. The course introduces the basic grammatical structure and vocabulary of classical Chinese through the analysis of selected passages from the classics.
