ADLT 102: Introduction to Community Education and Development

The course introduces students to the concepts, scope and practice of community education and
development. It will look at models and typologies of community education practice. Students will be exposed to the history, approaches and the components of community education and development in Ghana. This course will also examine the role of the adult educator as a change agent in the community and activities he/she performs. Special attention would be paid to issues relating to rural development.
