Mr. Kofi Anthonio

KOFI ANTHONIO

Kofi Anthonio is a dance practitioner, educator and choreographer. As a faculty member on study leave currently pursuing a PhD in Ethnomusicology from the African Studies Department, University of Ghana, he is very much involved in investigating indigenous knowledge systems embedded in movement practices found in Ewe-land. He holds an MFA degree in Dance from the University of Ghana and his areas of expertise are video technology as a teaching tool in dance, and choreography. He undertook extensive research in Northern Ghana that changed his purview of traditional dance structures in Ghana. His interest lies in courses such as Dance Forms of Ghana, Introduction to traditional dancing and technique, and African dance performance.
