DANC 628 (ELECTIVE COURSES) : Dance and Religion

The course will examine the role of dance in traditional African religious practices, Christianity, Islam and others. The course will explore the impact of these religious faiths on dance. The course will further explore current issues relating to the application of dance in some selected faith based organisations in Ghana and the West African sub-region. This will help to enrich students understanding of dance and its uses in various religious cultures.
