DANC 614 (DANCE IN EDUCATION (M.PHIL)) : Dance and Curriculum Development

This course examines the position of dance in the development of school curriculum. It
focuses on restructuring music and dance forms in the curriculum and re-examining their
structural elements, style and contextual framework. Key issues will concern the on-going
debate of providing justification for dance inclusion in the curriculum.
