 This course focuses on the concept of ‘informed practice’ and other theoretical underpinnings of practising dance. It engages students in a critical examination of how theory informs practice in the dance world. The course explores the following 3 i s of dance namely, Informed, Involved and Inspired. The scope will range from Ghanaian/African traditional dances to other non-African forms. The main focus will be the exploration of the dichotomy between the underpinning conceptual elements of dance and the practice of dance as an art form.
