 This course explores the fundamental issues connected with knowledge, values and virtues embedded in African dance as a documented history of a people. It focuses on dance movements, gestures and song texts of the various African dances to establish how these art forms serve as a repository of knowledge foundation of the African people. The course familiarises students to African philosophical concepts that are embedded in dance.
