DANC 602 (Core) : Research Methods II

This course is a continuation of Research Methods I. It focuses mainly on primary research
methods. Students will be introduced to ethnographic techniques including participant
observation, interviews etc. It will also give students the opportunity of doing fieldwork in a
chosen community to experience dance and its native performance. It will examine key
debates on the field, data management, reconstruction and analysis as well as ethical
principles.
